Evangeline is a seven minute diploma animated short film currently in production and scheduled to be finished in summer 2019. The short is about Evangeline and her life in the swamps of south Lousiana, where she has a fateful encounter with an alligator. Up until my graduation in May 2019, I served as the Pipeline Lead for this project, integrating, adapting and enhancing Scarif for the needs of the production and working with the team to find smart solutions for handling vast outdoor sets with lots of geometry using an Arnold Standin workflow. Other pipeline challenges for this project include the cloth simulation for the main character, which has been setup in Houdini using the new Vellum solver and interactively integrated into Maya using the Houdini Engine and Scarifs HDA Management.
Evangeline is still in the middle of production. In the upcoming months I will update this page with more in-depth details.
